ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING and CHEESE AND WINE EVENING
MONDAY, 11th FEBRUARY 2019 AT 7:30 pm
At St. Leonard’s Centre, Rectory Road, Oakley.
Dear Member,
It is not long now to the AGM which, as last year, is being held at the St. Leonard’s Centre. I would urge you to try to attend as it is your opportunity to put forward your views on any matters connected to Oakley Ramblers Club and to influence the decisions made by the committee during the next year. It is also a pleasant social occasion and once the ‘business’ part of the evening is over members can enjoy the chance to catch up with fellow ramblers they may not have seen for a while over a glass of wine and some delicious cheeses.
The current members of the committee have indicated that they are willing to stand for re-election but we do need a new chairman as at last year’s AGM Jonathan indicated his intention to step down. If you would like to volunteer, or know of another member who you think could be a likely candidate to act as chairman, please complete the attached nomination form and return it to Chris Williams at 64a, Oakley Lane or by email to cewilliams1@hotmail.co.uk. Please make sure that the person you nominate is happy to take up the post before returning the form. If however you would like to find out more before completing the form you are welcome to talk to any of the committee.
May I also take this opportunity to remind you that subscriptions for 2019 are now due. This remains at £5 per person for this year. It can be paid by direct transfer into the club account
