Advance Notification of change to walks diary – Unfortunately Jonathan is unable to lead the next stage of the Avon Valley walk on Saturday 13th April so Chris has kindly stepped into the breach and will be leading the following walk from Horsebridge:-

Where we are parking Test Way car park Horsebridge. Please let me know if you plan to go straight to the start of the walk.
Where we can eat/drink The John O’Gaunt Inn Horsebridge
Distance of walk  6 miles
Where we will walk Horsebridge along old Roman Road, then along Clarendon Way to King’s Sombourne then along former Test Valley Railway track back to Horsebridge.
Terrain Tracks and paths, short section lane, some ups and downs.

Directions Go along A303 then after about 11 miles take A30 exit to Stockbridge.  Follow A30 signposted to Stockbridge. After about 9 miles at roundabout take 1st exit onto A3057 signposted to Romsey. Stay on this road for 4 miles to Horsebridge.
Other notes This walk is to replace the third stage of the Avon Valley Path walk which has had to be deferred. I have booked a table provisionally for 8 people for 1.30. More details to follow nearer the time.
