Latest Guidance for Rambler’s ref Covid-19

According to the latest guidelines taken from the Rambler’s website ramblers are still able to meet in groups of up to 30 and are exempt from the new “Rule of 6”

As of 24 August 2020: all Ramblers activities can resume in England, Scotland and Wales – including group walks up to a maximum of 30 people. Please follow the latest advice (including any local restrictions in your area), and practise physical distancing. 

England & Scotland: Please note that as organised ‘outdoor physical activity events’, Ramblers and Walking for Health group walks are exempt from the restrictions on social gatherings, known as the ‘rule of six’ in England (from 14 September).

Walk description / difficultyMotorway noise can be heard on first stretch of the walk, but then a peaceful walk, mostly on footpaths and byways around farmland, but also includes stretch of woodland. Some inclines, but not particularly steep.   Minimal hazards underfoot when I recced the walk, but some tree roots in places
TerrainCircular walk along fairly good footpaths/bridleways. Undulating landscape
Number of Stiles12 gates 3 stiles, each with dog hole, near the end of the walk
Distance to start  6.5 miles approx from Oakley  
Where we are parkingMeeting place:- Parking area on Hatch Industrial Park, near  Conkers Garden Centre. Turn right off A30 as for Conkers, then turn right again onto Industrial area. Turn left at first roundabout, then right at next one. Drive almost to end of site, turn right and park.  (Unfortunately The Hatch CP doesn’t open before 10.30) Walk starts over the M3 footbridge
