Distance of Walk – Approx 5.5 miles
Start Time & Place (Meet 10 mins before start) – Meet in Oakley school lay-by at 09.30 to leave promptly at 09.40 or meet at start of walk at 10.05am.
Please let Pat know if travelling direct, so we don’t start walking without you.
Aiming to complete walk by approx 12.45 dependent on ice of walkers.
Relatively easy walk at a steady, but not brisk, pace. Some gentle up/down hill . Would
recommend walking boots / shoes.
Great views at times but also peaceful woodland and some footpaths & byways with
high hedges.
Option for short stop to visit St Lawrence church, Weston Patrick, approx 1 hour into
walk & St Mary’s church at end.
Mostly footpaths, byways and quiet lanes. Some paths muddy or covered in damp
leaves. If concerned about slipping, bring walking poles.
One stile.
Distance to start 9 miles – approx 25 minutes from Oakley
Where we are parking – At side of road outside St Mary’s church. Room for 3 or 4 cars

Directions to start of walk – Head for A339 then turn off to left , just a after driving below M3, SP Tunworth & Upton Grey.
Where we can eat/drink – Aim is for short drinks stops along the way. There is a village shop & cafe just after parking spot, open until 6pm, for optional refreshments /lunch at end of the walk.
