Walk description / difficultyWe will be completing the Basingstoke Heritage Trail. This is a mixture of paths, bridleways and some walking across fields. The route is mainly flat, with a couple of gentle climbs at Crabtree plantation and Basingstoke Common. https://www.basingstoke.gov.uk/content/doclib/1838.pdf After the trail, we will stop for a snack in Basingstoke and for those who wish, we will walk back to Oakley via Worting. This route is mainly footpaths and bridleways.
TerrainSome of the fields are currently very muddy and one short section on boards was flooded but passable when I checked the route. I recommend wearing waterproof boots and bring poles for support over the muddy sections.
