5th Special Walk to Raise Funds to Help Bereaved people in Basingstoke and North and North-East Hampshire.
Following last year’s successful event, the local Branch of Cruse is again organising a special 5 mile walk on Sunday 22nd March 2026, taking in beautiful local views to raise money to support bereaved people locally.
The walk is being organised by Colin Godfrey, Chair of Cruse North and North-East Hampshire Branch.
Quote from Colin Godfrey, Cruse Basingstoke, “We are really excited once again to be organising this special walk. We’ve been supporting bereaved children, young people and adults in Basingstoke Area for over 30 years and know how important it is that people grieving get specialist support, as soon as they need it. Last year we supported well over 200 clients, and we are hoping to increase the number of volunteers to help deal with the steady increase in client referrals. This will need further funds to train our new Bereavement Volunteers”.
We are always looking for new volunteers to undertake Cruse training which can be an incredibly rewarding experience.’
We are encouraging bereaved people, volunteers, supporters, and the public to join us for this friendly walk – everyone welcome, dogs too!
We’ll be meeting at The Café In The Park, Broadmere Road, Beggarwood, RG22 4AQ and setting off from 9.30am.’
All participants should register here and will receive a free Cruse t-shirt:
